At Lim's House, in addition to free Laundry Service and Breakfast we also offer Bicycles for our guests to use on a first come first serve basis. Cycling around the numerous ethnic minority villages and rice fields are a great way to explore what Mai Chau has to offer.
We have a fleet of classic Vietnamese single speed bicycles as well as seven new modern bikes, including one for children age 6-13. We can even install a small child seat on the back of one of our bikes for you!
Day trips.
*Option 1: From Lim's House you can walk or cycle to explore Thai villages located along the beautiful mountains and rice fields in the valley. The journey starts from Lim's House to Ban Lac where there is markets selling handmade products made locally by Mai Chau ethnic peoples..
Then you go to Pom Coong, Na Phon, Na Thia, Ban Nhot, Na Tang, Chieng Sai and Ban Van, each offering a unique glimpse into the various ethic cultures found in the valley. .
If you are up to the challenge, you can climb 1100 steps to Afternoon Cave to enjoy the panoramic view of Mai Chau and admire the beauty of the stalactites in the cave. It's worth the hike and when you come back down you'll be in the center of town for a deserved drink!
If you are here on a Sunday morning, you can go to the market in the center of Mai Chau – where people from all the surrounding mountain villages come once a week to sell local agricultural and handmade products.

- Route 1: From Lim's House you can go to see the panoramic view of Mai Chau at the flagpole area, bathe in Go Lao waterfall 13km from Mai Chau (price 100,000 VND/person), boating and lunch (enjoy fish specialties in Song Da lake - there is no information to contact to book lunch and price).
Then visit Bo Kettle hot spring 27km from Mai Chau and visit Hmong villages in Pà Co 35km from Mai Chau – where there are many unique customs and cultures. Especially if it is Sunday morning, there will be a unique Pà Co market with a variety of brocade colors. You will return to Mai Chau via Highway 6.
- Route 2: You could also visit the scenery and visit the villages in the high mountains of Lake Sam Tang in Pu Bin - Noong luong, where the weather is cool all year round and enjoy grilled chicken specialties with compatriots in the villages (There is no information for guests to contact to order lunch and artwork ).
- Route 3: Explore Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Discover the magnificent, wild and peaceful beauty of Pu Luong nature reserve. The itinerary will take you to the most beautiful places of Pu Luong. More specifically, the life experiences of Black Thai people in Pu Luong
In addition to the new and attractive famous tourist attractions of Pu Luong, you will fully experience the culture, history, customs of the people here to fully experience the type of tourism such as motorbikes, boating, trekking, Work and cook with indigenous people.
You can start from Lim's house and visit the beautiful Valley of Terraced Fields covered in a lush green (if it is young rice season) or iridescent yellow (if it is ripe rice season). You will admire the natural picture of rare terraced fields, in the fresh and cool air in Ban Bang, Ban Bam, Ban Don. You can choose to have lunch at Pu luong Ecocharm or Pu luong Natura – The place serves the best food in Pu luong.
After lunch, guests will move to Ngoai village to visit and learn how to weave cloth of the Black Thai people. The time to visit and check in at Lang Lan village is about 30 minutes. In Lan Village, Lung Niem commune has 137 households living, mainly black Thai people. Lan Ngoai village has been recognized as a traditional brocade weaving village. Brocade weaving products are diverse in types, designs, and beautiful and sophisticated patterns. Guests can go to Uoi village and stop to watch the stream, sit and relax. The Ban village is nestled in a valley, behind are ancient, wild and giant palm hills, in front are gentle streams curving beside lush, green terraced fields.
-Route 4: Visit Moc Chau plateau Moc Chau is 80km from Mai Chau - where there is a beautiful steppe with rich specialties from dairy cows, local agricultural products and especially salmon with many delicious restaurants. To Moc Chau you can go to Ban Ang pine forest (ticket price 50,000 VND / person), visit Bach Long glass bridge - the largest in Vietnam (weekday ticket price 550,000 VND / person, holiday and weekend ticket price 650,000 VND / person), Especially you should visit the beautiful Dai Yem waterfall (ticket price 50,000 VND / person), heart-shaped tea hill. Along the way, you can visit the Hmong villages scattered along the roadside.
